James Robb trained with Leiths in London and went on to manage The Orangerie in Kensington Palace Gardens. From the early 1990's James lived and worked in Edinburgh running his own catering business working for the the National Galleries of Scotland and the corporate sector. St Monans Smokehouse was initially bought in 2005 to smoke fish and meat for his business and Bigfish restaurant. This foray across the Firth has subsequently led to a passion for smoking and all good things in the Fife larder. Now relocated to St Monans and after the acquisition and development of the adjoining property East Pier Smokehouse started smoking again in January this year.
